Isidor Lipsch is stylistically an abstract expressionist, with occasional elements of figurative painting. He instigates a robust interplay between colours and shapes with abrupt yet powerful visual effects in his work to display his inner imaginations and reflections. Merging real-world topics with his internal reality provides him with original, dynamic visions and novel aspects on events and experiences.
"I apply my visions to religious topics, own distorted memories, events, poetry and metaphysical contemplations. My visions are often ad hoc, often emotionally overwhelming and rarely remain what I intended them to be originally. Controlled randomness is an important factor in my work."
Isidor's work is collected in private collections in his native Czechoslovakia and in the UK. He painted in the Czech republic, Germany, UK and also did graphical design for charity organizations.
