 James believes his passion for life-size sculpture is a direct result of exposure at college. He studied at the City and Guilds of London Art Scool where he attained a Degree in Historical Wood and Stone Carving. He has an abiding personel interest in the great classical Italian sculptors throughout history. From the outset he became 'almost infatuated by the powerful realism and energy' their work still posseses today. While he is definitely informed by the work of 'The Great Masters' James; own pieces have distinctive characteristics that make them uniquely His.
