I have always been mad about art. As a child i would lose myself in reams of plain paper and felt tip pens. As i grew older i discovered chalk and oil pastels, acrylic paints and canvas and i've never looked back. Drawing, painting and creating is my passion, I simply couldn't imagine life without it!
I studied graphic design at university and left knowing my natural style was very much illustration based and after graduating this lead me into greeting card design.
Following a break to bring up my two children I became re-inspired by the child friendly art I did for them and this has developed into the work I do today.
Bold, eye catching, uplifting and fun, my art appeals to both children and the young at heart. I want people to enjoy my work as much as i have enjoyed creating it.
Inspiration comes from all around me, my daily life working with pre-schoolers, nature, animals, the seaside and people.
I work in two ways, either hand drawn designs, scanned, coloured and finished in Photoshop on my Apple Mac or original hand painted canvases in acrylic. I love colour and texture so I embellish some of my work with gems and sequins to add depth and interest.
