Jane began to attend an art class to accompany a friend. She had absolutely no expectations of herself, having been told at the age of 13 that her style was formulaic and it was not worth continuing with art as a subject at school! Steph at Art 4 the Terrified convinced her that her work had some worth and encouraged her to begin to develop her own style and to experiment with different media and subjects. She now has the confidence to exhibit and as a result has begun to sell some of her work locally.
Jane is also a self taught photographer and has begun to exhibit in a limited way. Some of her photographs provide the inspiration for paintings and others stand as works in their own right.
