Artist Jane Murray

I have been painting for over twenty years and professionally since 2008. I exhibit work in a number of local and online galleries and regularly sell work both in the UK and abroad . I studied Art at Strode College and have attended a number of local courses and workshops, including a portrait workshop with Tom Coates at The Royal West of England Academy in Bristol. I am greatly inspired by the work of the Scottish Artist, Joan Eardley, which has influenced both my use of colour and boldness of expression. My nostalgic paintings of children, drawn from images from the 1930's to the 1960's allow me to combine my love of portraiture with a looseness of style which I love. I hope you like them.
