I make vibrant paintings of the natural world and use careful drawing and lively colours to express the truth and beauty revealed by nature.
I was born in Stratford-upon-Avon and travelled widely before coming to study and settle in Oxford.
I am fascinated with the natural world, science and history. Good drawing and colour are the cornerstones of my work, so you won't be surprised to learn that I admire van Gogh, Gauguin, Hockney, Matisse, and 17th century Dutch and Flemish artists.
I love to travel and see new places and species; and my travels frequently inspire my work. But there is plenty of inspiration at home in rural Oxfordshire, too.
I exhibit every year in Oxfordshire's Artweeks festival and have built a loyal following.
