 I have a mixed history in the arts: from working with the Bath Arts Workshop and the Natural Theatre Company in its early days, making and selling paintings and ceramics to teaching. Now, though, I have decided to return full time to my first love which is paint.
I work from drawings, notes and photographs, always experimenting with different techniques and ways of creating the effect that I want. I use brush, palette knife (I have even been known to use a bank card to put the paint on the canvas!) and sometimes scrape through layers of paint to achieve depth and texture.
My choice of subjects are always rooted in nature, how can it be otherwise? I paint the places and people that I know well and love.
