Artist Joanne Clare Pilkington

Working from my Manchester based studio I sell nationally and internationally delivering my artwork directly to customers in my local area and couriering pieces worldwide. I enjoy working with all materials and I don't like to be restricted by what I have previously used. I'm always looking to learn new techniques, constantly experiment, finding new ways to manipulate surfaces and looking for new materials to work with. Everything influences my art, from my dreams to the natural world, with it's landscape vistas and microcosms of detail. It all seeps in! I studied art at A-level and continued my studies in Manchester by completing a foundation course. I then went on to complete a fine art degree specialising in sculpture, graduating in June 2003. My artwork has been featured on ITV television and used by the interior designer John Amabile. My paintings were featured in the publication 'House & Home Ideas Magazine' . The article was entitled "Pictures with Personality". LAST EXHIBITION - at the Turnpike Gallery. Civic Square. Leigh, Lancashire WN7 1EB throughout September 2010.
