Completely unqualified but a huge passion for film and photography.... I started a course in Theatre Design at Northbrook College in Worthing, but after 2 years decided to sail a Yacht down the East Atlantic coast as far as Madeira. This is where I discovered a love for photography. On return I undertook a part time course at the London College of Printing in Lithographic plate making which led me on too becoming a self taught Graphic Designer, undertaking many differing jobs for many clients. It is this that introduced me to photoshop and digital imaging.
Well that was back in the 90's and I still consider myself in my further education at 41.
I explore more and more ways to extend my photographic creativity and although I still predominately shoot digital I have reverted back to medium format and good old 35 mm film. I only ever print limited editions with silver halide process and never use giclee, which is, in my opinion, an upmarket ink jet! Where's the romance in that?? I take most delight in photographing people, preferably in natural light, but I also shoot land and seascapes. I try and ensure some form of originality and only ever print limited edition Silver Print runs of no more than 20. I do lower cost reproductions but they are unsigned and are not the quality of an original print.
Thank you for reading this and enjoy the pictures.
