John Fiddes draws inspiration from nature, science fiction and space, ancient history, myths, legends, fantasy and fairy tales.
His influences are many and include the work of the surrealists and the Bauhaus movement. His true roots are in the psychedelic art of the sixties and the artists John Hurford and Roger Dean are particularly admired.
The work of the artist varies greatly, always experimenting with different methods and techniques. Working mainly in acrylics, other materials including natural and manufactured products are often incorporated into the art.
The artists work has been exhibited and he has undertaken many commissions.
His latest works are mainly modern abstracts and are usually part of a collection with a common theme or in a particular style.
