Throughout my working life, as a design draughtsman I was never far from design and drawing, using form and colour. Upon retirement, self-taught, I have taken up painting to follow a long held love. Using mostly, acrylics, watercolour and mixed media to explore shapes, colour and texture, creating contemporary abstracts, drawing inspiration from nature and the general world around us.
For me painting comes from within which develops into a continuous process of enrichment and fulfilment, which I hope to continue to enjoy.
Ideal for stylish homes and commercial spaces my original abstract artworks use bold colours and flowing lines, created in a free and spontaneous way with the intermixing of the paint on the canvas as the work progresses towards completionOver the last few years I have exhibited in my local area of East Sussex as a member of the Buxted Art Group at their annual exhibition and also at the Uckfield Art Trail, selling work regularly on these occasions.
