 I have been an artist/craftsman for over 25 years. I have been producing and selling both my paintings and my own wooden furniture through commissions and small exhibitions throughout this period.
I am now concentrating on my paintings, both as originals and limited edition Giclee prints. I paint in a quite distinctive style, lying somewhere between Surrealism and impressionism - and with some paintings maybe a touch of the Manga comic tradition too !
Perhaps "Magical Realism" best captures it. I use often complex composition, great detail, vivid colour, and often exaggerated perspective, to create drama and mood - often in a slightly surreal "dreamscape" format. Most pictures have an apparent "story" too - for the viewer to determine.
