As an artist I live with a constant need to express the fascination of our world and what seems like myriads of worlds within each of us.
When I consider how every single thing co-exists within the universe I feel compelled to try to capture even a moments existence on canvas. "A mere glimpse of the cycle in action is beyond our comprehension” and yet it is that single mere glimpse that I constantly strive to record in my artwork. I see the synchronicity in all things, I am in awe of the geometry of existence, of the sequence of fibonacci, of the reflections of light, the movement of energy. I feel that there is so much to continually discover and yet so little time to unveil the nature of our very existence here. Each of my paintings is more than a personal expression of my own experience, it is a moments capture of a glimpse of our world, an understanding, a love of all that is sacred.
I have studied theology, philosophy, geometry, sciences along with human biology. I have opened the door to mythology and ancient cultures and studied languages and world religions, spending a lifetime learning and absorbing information and education in an attempt to fulfil and satisfy my inquisitive nature. I have discovered that when I turn over a leaf and still wonder at the intricate display of such tiny threads, there is a constant flow of many thousands more and each leaf has its own pattern and its own story. There is so much to unveil and so much to share that I find myself almost self indulgent in my urgency to paint every day and express a constant chain of new realisations.

I work in a traditional way of oils on canvas with rich earth colours, bringing new colours to the picture with layers of fine, almost transparent glazes to enhance the tone and depth bringing my paintings alive.
