Having always painted pictures and made my own greeting cards for friends and family, I became painting larger pieces during my Art A-level. Here I was lucky enough to have a fantastic teacher who gave me the confidence to undertake larger compositions. Acrylics are my favourite paints as they are so versatile, dry quickly and you can build up some really vibrant colours.
I have sold only one painting as I have always seen it as a hobby and up until now have never tried to sell any of my paintings.
I recently returned to the UK following a two-year stay in New Zealand where I found much of my inspiration for my most recent work. Being surrounded by so much sea there and always having had an interest in the sea - snorkelling, diving and water in general - my recent work is based around this. The colours are so much more dramatic out there and the scenery was so beautiful I felt I just had to paint it!
So now I am settled back in the UK I am building up a collection of my artwork both for myself and potentially to sell. I hope to eventually create a website for my work.
