I have been drawing and making ever since I can remember and started taking commissions for art works during my school years whilst working towards my GCSE and A level in Art and Crafts. I went on to complete a BTEC Art Foundation course, City and Guilds qualifications in Life Drawing and Photography, a BA Honours Degree in Contemporary Applied Arts and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Secondary Art and Design. I have exhibited both as a painter and ceramicist and also worked as an Art Teacher. More recently I have returned to painting, usually in acrylics on canvas. Throughout the years my work has been heavily influenced by my favourite artists: Edward Hopper, Mark Rothko and Georgia O'Keefe. I live in the quaint market town of Newark on Trent with my husband and our two cats and also enjoy baking, needle crafts and gardening.
