The process of my painting has been a personal, genuine search that has challenged my technique, and furthered my growth as an artist. Focusing on the beauty of landscape, I try to create an intimate relationship between vibrant colour, form, and balance.
These paintings to an extent are a representation of my experiences, and me. I spent my childhood in Papua New Guinea, and travel has always been an inspiration. The excitement found in seeing, and experiencing new places. Trying to capture elements of the things that I have seen, whilst also trying to create a sense of peace, and tranquility.
I work with water based oil paint, and I paint primarily on canvas. The paint is applied with careful utilisation of brushstrokes to create the required colour, and balance that is my work.
