Artist Katrin Jones

Bright contemporary views on landscapes, mainly palms and sand dune views. From leaving school I went on to study fine art at Somerset college, then progressed onto ND Graphics design. On completing my National Diploma in Graphic design I completed a HND in Media Makeup. I am a creative person and have expressed this through all the above courses, learning many skills along the way. Working mainly in acrylics on canvas at the moment I have been studying palm trees in my art work, their colour shape and form, especially how the sun casts shadows through them and shines through the leaves aluminating them. My work has been described as almost photographic. I have been exhibiting in local exhibitions. Including the Hot House at Somerset College, Taunton. I have recently ventured into Dog portraits, these are all commissions that I have been asked to do. They are proving to be very popular.
