Keith Blessed has been painting in soft pastels for the last ten years; he is mainly self-taught, although he has had some professional tuition. Keith’s work concentrates on the contrast between light and dark, is emphasized to produce these vibrant, atmospheric paintings. Among Keith’s main inspirations are the many changing moods and atmosphere that he experiences on the moors and coast around where he lives in Whitby, and strives to bring that excitement to his paintings.
