On graduating from the London Guildhall University with a BA honours in Fine Art I was selected to exhibit in the BP Portrait Awards in 2003 at the National Portrait Gallery. Since then I have been commissioned to paint a series of portraits and have exhibited and sold work at the prestigious Zoo Art Fair (represented by the “Trolley Gallery”) and at group shows in London.
Most recently I exhibited in the Lyon and Turnbull auction at One Marylebone “Modern and Contemporary Art and Design” alongside artists such as Tracey Emin, Matt Collishaw and Banksy.
The paintings available on this site are from a series of work entitled “Lost in Lovelyness”. Extremely beautiful and idyllic images which serve to both engage and repel. The work is blissfully and intentionally ignorant of any current culture or affairs and intends to consume the viewer in loveliness.
I am currently working on a solo show entitled “Feel Good” which explores the deliriously happy and unbelievable ideals presented to us by advertising companies, fashion photography and magazines. My intention is to express the absurdity and beauty I find in these images in order to create a positive and uplifting show that reflects our media.
