Artist Kelly Marie Davidson

Since I was young my imagination has always been quite active. I would lay awake for hours creating stories in my head before gently drifting off into yet another dream world. From the age of 13 I started to explore ways of telling these stories through painting, creating one image that could tell many stories depending on the observer perception. Releasing my imagination in to brush strokes on a canvas was a great way to share these stories with the world. Following leaving school at the age of 16, I chose to study art at Cleveland College of Art and Design. I wanted to study a subject that would challenge my imagination and allow me to explore new ways of expressing myself. I hoped to observe others creativity and be inspired by their passion, allowing me to develop my own ideas and inventiveness. In my final year at collage I specialised in textile design and this has heavily influenced my work.
