Artist Kevin Hunter

i was born and raised in a small ship building town called greenock, about 30 miles west of glasgow, scotland and have been painting since the age of 10. having been a student of interior design in glasgow, my background hopefully adds an interesting dimension to the works. the decision not to pursue the fine art tradition has influenced my style along with thoughts on what it is to be an artist. i achieved national design awards during my studies and after graduating worked in the field of film/theatre set design. eventually i found myself interested solely in painting. i have exhibited and sold work through many outlets from helensburgh to toronto. the artworks vary from representational to abstract oil paintings depicting landscapes, atmospheres and emotions. influences include the river clyde, travel, film and music, often using the creative process as a release. you can view all the latest paintings and get in touch with me about commissioned art. you can also buy signed giclée prints. i can do the prints to different sizes both framed and unframed so drop me an email if you are interested in anything else outwith the standard size that you see here.....
