Kim Curtis studied Illustration at Falmouth School of Art and Design after completing her foundation at Middlesex University. Immediately after leaving Falmouth, she went straight into designing Bunnykins figures for Royal Doulton, the most successful collection being the 'Jazz Band'.
As well as doing this, she ran a successful furniture painting business with her partner, now husband, Peter and accepted commissions for portraits and personalised paintings for children. This rapidly developed into commissions for a variety of projects including web sites, artwork for companies such as logos and cartoons for publicity literature and posters for organisations, groups and theatre companies. When not working on these projects, Kim has produced a number of large canvases and murals pushing her drawing skills forward and allowing her to experiment with different media.
Having concentrated on Children's illustration, designing greeting cards, artwork for children's projects and working on her own range of Children's novelty books, she is now expanding her subject matter from still life to illustrations of the classics in a wide range of media from pen and ink to oil and is careful to always use the very best materials available to ensure that each artwork is a piece of Art that will endure.
