Kirsten Linning gained a BA in Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University and is currently studying an MA at Central Saint Martins in London. She has exhibited at Modern Art Oxford, The Stroud House Gallery in Gloucestershire and the OVADA gallery in Oxford and has recently completed a commission of 7 paintings for a Reading based company.
This body of work alludes to the discrete nature of the digital pixelated image. Working from familiar objects the pixelated printed image is reproduced in the analogue form of painting highlighting the qualities, differences and limitations of representation inherent in the two mediums.
