Scottish based artist Kirstin Usher was born in 1981 in the Renfrewshire town of Johnstone, she has also resided in Cupar (Fife), Dundee and now has settled in Edinburgh.
Usher graduated with a Fine Art Degree from Duncan Of Jordanstone College of Art Dundee in 2005, specialising in Fine Art Printmaking, focusing mainly on print based media and now branshing into photographic and digital imaging.
Studio projects have taken influences from dreams. Representing an analysis of thoughts and emotions brought as a result of her subconscious.
New subjects have seen her focusing on a series of light related photographs and digital subjects. This work demonstraits light as a dramaticly changing matter transforming spaces we live and work, inside and out. Usher creates light as images transformed and poluted.
