Although I have never received any formal training I have been painting and drawing as long as I can remember! Born in Devon and brought up in Cornwall, I lived in Kent for 31 years before moving to Suffolk in July 2009. I am continually inspired by the countryside and sea and my paintings are my impression of the immense variety of colour and texture in our surroundings. I work mainly in oils but also enjoy using acrylic, pastel, inks and pencil and, as well as landscapes and seascapes, I enjoy the challenge of painting animal and human portraits in pencil or pastel.
