Artist Laura Coughlan

I am a self taught artist, experimenting with colours and materials, inspired by current fashion and interior design. I love to get involved in my local community and worked at Hyde Park Primary School in Plymouth for their Arts Week in 2011 and 2012. I designed a series of 9 large boards each with a different theme (fairy tale, abstract, pirate, jungle, olympics, countries etc). I worked with the children to paint and decorate the boards using various types of media and techniques. The boards are displayed permanently in the playground area for all the children to enjoy. I have also designed many paintings for office conference rooms, brightening up and giving the rooms a sophisticated professional ambience. There are two paintings displayed in The Money Centre, Plymouth and one in the Kingsmill Conference Room at the China Fleet Country Club in Cornwall. The Sage Cafe in Hyde Park Village also displays a number of my art work. I hope you enjoy viewing my work.
