Lauren Jay Wondra was born 1981 in Texas and has subsequently established herself as the livewire in an underground art scene which has followed her across the globe, trailblazing with a paintbrush through the likes of California, Mexico, and Washington, D.C. before settling down in London, England to paint life from a cubist perspective. Based in Shoreditch, Lauren Jay Wondra "the artist" emerged as a power player n the contemporary underground London art scene, having received critical acclaim from publications like International Contemporary Masters 2012, Important Artists of the World, My Chic City London, Creative Boom, Artist Nest, Puro Pinche and Jansen Magazine as a result of her 17 solo art exhibitions from 2009-2013.

Born and raised on a wild bird ranch in Texas, Wondra's multicultural heritage as an Indio-Mexican Native American Czech Latina traces her roots back to the Old World and New World. Lover of fashion, true crime and unsolved mysteries, Wondra accepted a full academic scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin at age 16, where she cultivated an unlikely passion for both politics and arts, graduating Summa Cum Laude in Sociology (with Honours) and Fashion Design before pursuing a dual international LLM in Mexico and Doctor of Jurisprudence in Houston- earning bar qualifications in Texas, DC, England and Wales. As an advocate for children's rights, she is dedicated to serving others in this lifetime and lends her expertise when she's not painting.
