I studied art history at university - specialising in Islamic and Oriental arts and crafts, and have subsequently written several books and articles on related subjects. I had my first solo exhibition in the Woodstock Gallery, London, shortly after leaving university and have had several solo and mixed exhibitions since. During the last twenty, I have exhibited rarely, selling mainly through personal contacts. My work is held in collections in the UK, USA, Germany, Switzerland, France, Croatia and elsewhere.
I work on the basis that style is subordinate to content and attempt to find the medium of expression that best captures the essence of the subject. Sometimes I succeed.
