Mostly self taught, though I do have an A level in art and design I have been creating art all my life. I left school with very few qualifications and followed in my fathers footsteps and became a landscape garden designer. I ran my own landscaping business until 2008 when i decided to start painting full time. I work from my studio at home. working on canvas using acrylics or oils, I paint harbour scenes mostly as i have been inspired by visits to these places from a child. I do paint other subjects including still life, cityscapes and abstracts. I like to experiment with different media, styles and technique to create a certain subject. sketches and photographs are used as a visual reference for my paintings. You might find some of my paintings are quite quirky and naive. I hope you can enjoy my paintings as I have enjoyed creating them. All work is original, signed, dated and comes with a certificate of authenticity. A member of the ABNA (Assocciation of British naive artists).
