Artist Lee Proctor

I am a self taught artist who lives in Oldham, Greater Manchester. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember and really enjoyed art at school. After I left school I got a job and ended up not doing any art for quite a while. After a few years the first of my two daughters were born and I wanted to decorate her room with my own work and straight away realised how much I had missed it. After that I did commission work for friends and family and joined a night art class which I enjoyed, it helped me learn different techniques and meet other artists.

I get my inspiration from everything, but mainly like to paint bright, abstract work, or things that capture the imagination for both adults and children. I love doing my art, when I'm not painting, I'm thinking about it, or looking at other artists' work.
