My name is Leigh Allen and I am 26 years of age. I have always been fascinated by colour, objects, relationships between both and creating both a story and statement from images I have created.
I began with studying art at GCSE Level and then A Level, thereafter supporting that with an HND in Graphic Art, and Photography, receiving a Distinction for this dedicated journey.
My fascination stems from being pleased and delighted when something ‘just works’, should I be looking at scenery, or a masterpiece in a gallery. I demand personal answers as to why something is aesthetically pleasing. How can that which works be absorbed, teach me, and applied in a simplified manner allowing comprehensive intimate expression.
As mentioned previously my field is the area of mixed media, applying graphic art, duo-formulation to photography, pencil, graphic pens, and acrylic to create powerful, and often controversial imagery.
I believe art is all about imagination and initiative - A lot of people never use their initiative because no one has told them how too.
