My name is Lorraine J Bush and i come from Slough in Berkshire. I have only just started being able to dedicate my full time to my Art Work, as I have been bringing up my 2 children who are now 15 and 17, I am a single parent and much of my time has been caring for my younger son who has Diabetes type 1, so spare time has been rare.
Although I did study Art at school, I am mainly self taught. I like to use all kinds of media in my work but my favourite has to be paper and card, you will see that some of my work has been made entirely from different types of both card and paper to form a 3D look.I also like to work with soft pastels. I suppose my biggest influences in my work are Clive Stevens the Paper Artist, and Clarice Cliff, who needs no introduction.
I don't have a particular style of work,I just get an idea and work on it until I'm satisfied with the result. As this is my first attempt at selling any of my work I am looking forward to the challenges it will bring. I have given many pieces to friends and relatives and these have always been received with a welcome and now adorn many a living room wall.
