Artist Louise Driver

I was born in Skewen, South Wales.
I am married to Steve Driver- who is a very talented realist.
I work in pastels, watercolour and oils as well as mixed media.I like to use anything i can to make designs and pieces including recycled material.I love colour and find i produce most of my work around colour rather than form or tone.Colours can brighten,lighten,darken,depress- in fact can produce every given emotion possible-and i find this intriguining and i like to play around with that.I have been painting for a few years now.I like to study and learn from all kind of artists but influences include Matisse,Monet,Pissaro and many other contemporary artists.
I have a very gorgeous large family, and find the juggle of art and family quite a challenge.
I like my work to be spontaneous and find if i labour over a piece too long it loses some of its charm for me and ends up in the bin!!!
