Artist Lucy Riveiros

As a child I always drew. It was my favourite pastime, and was at my most happiest creating a new picture. I went to Oxford College and completed an AVCE in Art and Design, and went to university after and completed a 3 year degree at BCUC in High Wycombe doing Jewellery. Even though the degree I chose to do did not mean I had to do painting all the time, I still drew whenever I could. I change my style often, and don't think I have one as such, though others may see a similarity in my paintings. I use a wide range of materials, my most favourite being acrylics. I am always thinking of new ways to paint, whether I use my finger instead of a paint brush, or using watercolour pencils over base paints. I am currently inspired by my Pug, Niblet - as I find his face full of expression. I also, on a completely different inspiration, like to paint pop art cartoon style pictures. I work as a jeweller now , but paint at home whenever I can.
