 I have a BA Hons degree in Fine Art which I obtained from Coventry University in 2000. Since then I have exhibited at various galleries around the Midlands,and also at Malvern Theatre.
I was also invited to become an associate of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, which has been very helpful in furthering my work.
I work mainly in oils, with a layer of texture beneath comprising various substances including sand, grit, marble dust etc:
My inspiration comes from the landscape and its disintegration in recent times. The paintings and their scale,which range from the microscopic to global, work on the imagination of the viewer, prompting reflection, and are open to interpretation. I hope to inspire a feeling of dark, evocative, foreboding, within my paintings reflecting what I see in many areas of our landscape.
