| I was formally educated in classical fine arts from young age specialising in sculpting, traditional painting and design. However it was at the time of communism and the art expression was very controlled and limited. For some time I left the traditional painting and set to explore photography and interior design yet the urge to paint has been always part of my life even at the times when traditional painting is regarded as obsolete and somewhat old fashioned. Now I am slowly coming back to painting and rediscovering its beauty.
I do focus on one focus subject matters, especially animals and their faces which enable me to express a wide range of feelings usually attributed to a human face. The colour range is usually bright intentionally evoking children's imagination and naivety. |
