 I started my career as a Professional artist at a young age as this is what I wanted to do. My work has spanned over 3 decades and it was quite difficult in the 70's to be an artist, however, I kept at it and have had work exhibited in several International exhibitions, including over 12 solo exhibitions in the USA and the UK. My art is part of life and living. Travel to various countries of the world has influenced the work over the years. Place, Time and Memory are important elements in the creative process. The work is continually growing. Recent work addresses the urban environment in E.London with its communities and cultural life. In contrast to this, some works relate to the rural parts of the world i.e. New Mexico, USA and France. These works pose a sharp contrast and are abstract in nature. The works are richly layered and textured to give a 3D effect.
