 I was born in South Africa. My husband and I relocated to London in 1998. I currently live in the rural countryside of Kent with my husband and our two young daughters.
I am a self taught artist. I loved painting and drawing from a very young age and has won my first art competion at the age of 10. I started painting professionally in 2006 and successfully sold a number of paintings to customers in the U.K., Australia, Canada, Finland, U.S. and South Africa, which I'm truly humbled. My passion to paint started from there onwards. In my own life I can quote these words of a famous artist which I truly admire, "I am still far from being what I want to be, but with God's help I shall succeed.”- Vincent van Gogh.
I use my own interpretation on its colours, lines and shapes. I paint with feeling, emotion and imagination which is then captured on canvas. Every painting I do is unique and original. I paint with a variety of media including acrylics, oil and mixed media. I love experimenting with texture and vibrant colours which is probably a reflection of my own life. Many of my latest work is inspired by nature and surroundings where I live. My final work comes signed on the front or on the edge of the painting and a coat of quality varnish has been applied for protection. All my work comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and Care Instructions for the painting.
