Images are unpredictable, perhaps even erratic and no one can be sure what affect they will have on the viewer. The image has the potential power to evoke intense mood and feeling however only at a price - it must remain comprehensible otherwise, in my opinion, all credibility is lost . . .
Born in the North of England I moved south to commence formal training studying Art and Design at Barking College in Essex, before graduating with a 2/1 honours degree in Graphic Fine Art (specialising in visual communication) at the University of East London in 2,000.
I have since concentrated on theme based projects such as my collection of work covering the contemporary issue of global climate change. Each painting comprises of a unique and perhaps alternative view of seascape artwork set within an environmental theme. Other work incorporating a theme includes “Food for Thought” focusing on bacterial outbreaks within our food industry and the subsequent concerns for health and animal welfare.
I presently sell work and accept painting commissions on-line via Artgallery.co.uk. Deliver presentations focusing on narrative art and regularly participate in group and solo exhibitions including venues such as The Liverpool Academy of Arts, The Malvern Theatres, Cambridge Art Fair and Callow's Yard Gallery.
