I have only recently ventured into the area of trying to sell my artworks. I am looking for a new way of earning which I can enjoy doing, and to have the satisfaction of having created something rather than being a small cog on a treadmill of the corporate wheel.
I did O Level and A level Art at school, but really had very little coaching or teaching with this. The school was not Art oriented at all, and while completing the A level it was merely a case of sitting in with other classes and only having the teacher's help or assistance if I got stuck. Three years ago I decided to pick up a paintbrush again and to see if I can really start learning and growing as an artist. I have taught myself many techniques from books from the local library.
I have sold several pieces of art at local fayres, and have had work for sale in a local gallery.
