I studied art at Portsmouth University earning a First Class Honours Degree in 1999 before moving to London for ten years where I began my career as an artist and writer. I now live on the sunny south coast of England where I continue to work as an author and illustrator of books for children, which have been published in many languages all over the world and have been nominated for numerous art and literary awards. Alongside my book work I paint and produce individual art pieces for private sale and exhibition. My influences are folktales, nature, mythology, philosophy and storytelling.
