I studied at Scarborough Art College and completed a three year course in the mid 1960's, some of my fellow students later achieved some high status in the Art World, the most well known, although he turned to music was Alan Palmer, better know as Robert Palmer, unfortunately now deceased.
After college I went to London and was involved in the Screen Printing Industry until the 70's, later on I learned Diamond Point engraving on glass and achieved an A.F.G.E.(Associate Fellowship of the Guild of Glass Engravers), I was later nominated for a full fellowship by two of the most prominent engravers of our time, Sir Lawrence Whistler and Peter Dreiser M.B.E. unfortunately at this time I had badly injured my wrist and was unable to continue with engraving.
I had exhibited in some prestigious venues such as Libertys London, and the Glaziers Hall, the Ashmoleum Museum and Castle Howard in North Yorkshire. Until the last couple of years have not been involved in any artistic projects. I recently found the urge to create some paintings and sculpture and am now experimenting with Sculpture and Glass Fusing combined.
