Artist Michelle Thompson

I was born in Manchester in 1970 and studied Art at Margaret Ashton College in North Manchester. I mainly did pencil drawings whilst at college, then around 1998 I started painting watercolours. I discovered oil paints in 2008. I like to paint silhouettes with dramatic backgrounds and skies. These can be anything from landscapes to animals. I also like to paint moonlight and sunset scenes and also paint portraits, for which I have received several commissions.
