Morris Mosart studied in London and at the Academie des Beaux-Arts, Aix-en-Provence where he was influenced by the early cubism of Cézanne and an apprenticeship to a master-decorator.
He worked on 2001 A Space Odyssey in animation before becoming involved in the UK’s first ever Art Therapy facility in a psychiatric hospital.
Since 1983 he has specialised in mosaic, designing and making pieces for private and commercial customers such as:-
Windsor & Newton, The Dorchester Hotel, Kensington Hilton, Sheikh Mohammed al Makhtoum, The Institute of Directors, Royal Court Hotel, British Petroleum, restaurants and many private homes.
The ‘Stardust’ designs use the unique geometry of Mosart’s ‘Fluted Circles’.
Akin to stained glass and Tiffany lampshades, some colours from his exclusive collection are up to 50 years old. Extremely durable, water and scratchproof and smooth to the touch, they can be placed outdoors, except the chrome base.
24 carat embedded gold & silver appears in some.
Each table artwork is designed and hand made by the artist.
