I am an artist whose work looks at Britain and Europe's historic townscapes. This reflects my interest in the built form having had an educational background in city planning and urban design.
My style has evolved over a number of years and merges photography with digital art. Photography clearly has the benefit of being able to accurately show the immense detail present in the stonework of historic buildings. Overlaying the modified photographs with digital artwork has allowed me to play with the effects of natural and man made light. Colour and tone can also be used to help create balance and atmosphere in the pictures. My overall goal is to create original contemporary images of some of our most impressive man made environments.
