I am a retired art teacher, having taught art in schools for 35 years. My main medium is print, and in particular screenprint and my main subject matter comes from the striking visual effects created by the light in my part of East Anglia. The water meadows around Sudbury in South Suffolk are an ever-changing resource for trying to capture nuances of shadow and colour. Sudbury was the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough and both he and John Constable were inspired practitioners in this elusive quest!
My work features in private collections nationwide and I also have work in local hotels, clubs and restaurants. I also have four prints in the House of Lords.
I do most of my printmaking in the Gainsborough's House Print Workshop in Sudbury, and I prefer to work with small editions of print run, normally 5 or 10. All my prints are supplied fully mounted, framed and glazed with shatterproof acrylic. My prices are very competitive.
