Nick Muir was born in 1963. He worked in industry from the age of 16 until he finally found an interest in industrial processes and design. Armed with his knowledge and artistic ability he decided to pursue his education at Northbrook College, firstly by completing his National Diploma in 3D and 2D studies and then later after a while in graphic design he returned to Northbrook to complete a Higher National Diploma in 3D Design.
Since he left college he has worked as a furniture designer and now he’s returned to what he really enjoys; photographic illustration.
The love for this art form grew from the first time he worked with computers. He says the great thing about the graphic technologies he uses is that they are readily available to any artist as opposed to 20 years ago when it was more of a corporate tool. He thinks it is always important to use your own experiences to influence your art. This encourages originality.
His main medium is a combination of Photoshop, Illustrator, and recently Maya 8 . Using these tools together you are able to create the desired situations and atmospheres. This in turn gets your point across.
It is important to add that this is Nicks first collection as a freelance artist.
Artgallery rating Positive. This artist has received positive feedback from customers regarding reliability and excellence of artistry.
