 Nicola Clare is a Contemporary Abstract Artist.
She studied fine art at Liverpool University graduating in 2001 with a 2:1 Honors Degree. Nicola has always been fascinated with the advances in modern day technology and strongly believes that the Technological Revolution plays a big part in our every day activities. Her work deals with topics such as communications, networks, navigation and technology.
She has included in her paintings: Sat Nav's, Circuit Boards, Sim Cards, Networks, Mobile Phone icons, Resistors, Keyboards, and other technology gadgets.
In her paintings Nicola likes to capture a moment in time, believing that what she paints about now regarding the technological revolution will no longer be recognizable in the future as the revolution will continue to change and adapt as it always has done.
Nicola believes she is painting a time in history, as we know it Nicola uses repetition in her work and loves the patterns they form. She enjoys the use of colour and a light and dark shade representing the highs and lows of living in a technological age can be seen in all of her work.

Her work is currently being exhibited in Galley 22 in Hale, Greater Manchester. She sold her first painting there for £500. Nicola says that this is the beginning of a revolutionary idea.
