Artist Nora Doherty

Nora Doherty is an up and coming new Devon artist. She creates colourful unique contemporary paintings which vibrate with colour, light and depth. Through sheer hard work and experiment, Nora is self-taught and has learnt to use the flow and purity of colour of traditional high quality oils to transform space and landscape into highly expressive, flowing oil paintings.
Nora was selected by the South West Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 2005 and now again in 2007 and received from Teignmouth Art Society ‘Most Innovative’ and ‘Best Marine’ painting awards in 2006 and again ‘Most Innovative’ in 2007. In Oct 2008 she was honoured to be selected by Royal West Academy of Fine Arts, Bristol open exhibition and has exhibited in several Devon art exhibitions and contemporary art galleries.
