 I got interested in art when I took a course in Home design and people said I should take up art. I took some lessons from a local artist and then just carried on with different subjects that interested me personally..
I like to work on what I find interesting and picturesque and give the subject the detail and colour that satisfies me most. I'm afraid that I am influenced by Monet but prefer not to be too impressionistic in approach hence my painting of Monet's garden taken from a photograph as are all my paintings - I hope I have captured the peaceful and colourful mood of the garden.
My Nile cruise painting is a typical scene from a cruise ship cruising the Nile. The green of the grasses and the palm trees against the back drop of the desert in the background highlight the stunning beauty and the feeling of the Nile's flow.
My painting of Istanbul at sunset is a view from sea leaving Istanbul in the evening, a little artists licence has been used to dramatise the colour and silhouette and majestic scene of the Blue Mosque.
